Bay Street Marina, Manitowaning, Ontario, Canada

Bay Street Marina is located a short distance south of Heywood Island in the North Channel and is nestled in a picturesque bayside setting on the shores of Manitowaning.

A safe haven for boaters during inclement weather:
* with natural deep-water accessibility
* features a full service marina
* 39 docking slips, maximum 80'

The Marina Manager and staff uphold an excellent reputation specifically designed to ensure the highest customer satisfaction while visiting the community. Docks are offered for seasonal tenants and transient visitors.

Visitors may wish to tour the SS Norisle. Permanently berthed in Manitowaning and a part of our Museum Heritage Complex, the Norisle is one of the finest examples of the ships of yesteryear that sailed the Great Lakes.

A short walk uphill, past a sandy beach and a picnic area provides more attractions and amenities including a museum, a historic lighthouse (still in operation), the oldest church in Northern Ontario, downtown shopping and dining in a warm friendly environment.

Other services available include - ATM, liquor/beer store, pharmacy, medical/dental clinic, and lodging.

The community offers visitors activities such as: swimming, tennis, fishing, hiking and golf. The Rainbow Ridge Golf Course features 18 holes of golfing enjoyment, with a club house open to the public.

As of September 15, 2009 all boaters will be required to have the Pleasure Craft Operator Card in order to operate a powered watercraft. There is no grandfather clause or age exemption – this law applies to all boaters. Powered watercraft includes watercraft fitted with any size motor – even a trolling motor. If your not part of the solution, your part of the problem!
