Niagara Parks Marina, Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada

The Niagara Parks Marina was formerly a shipyard owned by the Canadian Ship Building Company.

The Niagara Parks Commission purchased the property in 1957 and in 1965 decided to test public demand for a Marina and installed a timber dock.

The boat docking facilities had become so popular by 1968 that a seawall, gas pump and berths for 54 boats were installed.

In 1975, 50 additional slips were added and today has grown to 135 slips. It is the only public Marina on the Canadian side of the Niagara River and is located on the beautiful Niagara Parkway between Fort Erie and Niagara Falls.
The Niagara Parks Marina is a stop along the Niagara River Recreation Trail and close to Legends on the Niagara and the Falls.

As of September 15, 2009 all boaters will be required to have the Pleasure Craft Operator Card in order to operate a powered watercraft. There is no grandfather clause or age exemption – this law applies to all boaters. Powered watercraft includes watercraft fitted with any size motor – even a trolling motor. If your not part of the solution, your part of the problem!
